We approach the design of spaces for children from the perspective of the child. Our focus is on their needs, their development, their safety and their happiness, and on enabling their caregivers and teachers to provide them the best care and education. We’ve designed childcare spaces of all scales, from small centers to national organizations, and the goal is always the same – to create an environment where each child can flourish.

We work closely with the teachers and caregivers to understand their approach to teaching and child development, and share our ongoing research on early childhood education on each project. We are experts in childcare design, and are well versed in the strict regulations and requirements of licensure and accreditation. We recognize that a child can spend many hours a day in a childcare space, and we strive to create the most comfortable and nurturing “home away from home” possible while still complying with these regulations.
