A Different Breed of Innovators and Entrepreneurs

Recently I was invited by our landlord Jamestown Properties, to attend the MassChallenge 2013 Awards Ceremony and was able to see first hand the next generation of innovators working within our community.

A common thread, which was present in many of their ideas/innovations, was the goal to solve a problem, which they had personal experience with.  From the design of a special hospital garment for post surgery breast cancer patients to a product developed to eradicate date rape from a “roofied” drink and many other amazing innovations, there was evidence of a passion and drive to make life better on a global scale.  All candidates, even those who were not honored, were deeply passionate about their ideas and their innovations.  It was truly refreshing to see such passion, an attribute, which is seldom seen or profoundly felt these days.  But….. all of this made me think about  STA, the field of interior design and architecture and the way we practice.

The practice of interior design and architecture requires passion, drive, determination and innovation.  Today a designer must think beyond the simple easy solution to solve our client’s goals and objectives.

As an architect, business owner and entrepreneur, along with my business partner and lead principal, we too are working to build, what we feel, is an innovative firm, striving to provide a different type of client service.  We are a firm of hands on working principals bringing our years of experience directly to our clients.  We believe that when you hire STA you will always get one of us as a member of your team.  As a design studio we, in collaboration our designers, are always looking to solve our client’s problems in a way that brings true value and innovative design to their business.

Not one project is ever the same, not one client has the same goals as the next, and not one solution is suitable for all clients.  All are unique… as are our solutions and approach to each client.

… my passion is to creatively solve our clients’ issues in a way that they never thought was possible…

What’s your passion … ?
