2016 has been quite a year!
For STA, 2016 has been one to remember. In January, we moved into our new space at 125 Broad Street. We love our new office and our new neighborhood – so great to be in the heart of Boston! The design of the new space is fabulous, if we do say so ourselves! The space became our “home” immediately – if you have not come to visit us yet, what are you waiting for? Consider yourself invited!
The STA team was hard at work throughout the year, working on over 150 projects. Every project, whether 1,000 or 100,000 square feet, is equally important and exciting to us. This year we’ve created innovative workplaces, compassionate places for healing, nurturing spaces for children to learn, energizing spaces for fitness, creatively branded retail spaces, reinvigorated buildings, and spaces for innovation and exploration and invention. Whatever the project type, our mission is always to create spaces that enhance the lives, health, experiences and well-being of people – in everything that we do!

Our team makes it a priority to give back to the community. In 2016 we continued our strong connections with the BAC (we hosted many student groups for tours of our office, Andy is a faculty member, Felice was elected to the Board of Trustees, Hannah graduated with a Bachelors of Interior Architecture as Valedictorian); International Interior Design Association, including Bri’s completion of the IIDA New England Emerging Leaders Program and our participation in IIDA’s Student Mentoring day; the Boston Society of Architects, including David’s work with the BSA Foundation, and Felice’s work with the Women in Design Awards of Excellence; and ongoing support of Design Museum Boston, including participation in the Workplace Innovation Summit.

In October we hit our 20-year mark – time flies when you are having fun! In December we celebrated this milestone anniversary with a fabulous party with wonderful clients from the beginning of our practice through today. Here’s a complete photo album of the evening!
The STA team continues to ROCK! Tom, David and I are most grateful for all of the creativity, dedication, hard work and energy that each of our team members brings to everything that we do. And we have a lot of fun too!
